GAMEPLAY CANDLES
Gameplay Candles was created by Alex and Jessica Aries, two Austinites passionate about bringing high-quality scented candles to gaming tables. Alex, a dedicated tabletop RPG (TTRPG) player and Manufacturing Engineer, saw an opportunity to create fantasy-themed candles for game nights. Jessica, with her skills in marketing, branding, and digital strategy, helped turn Alex’s idea into a real product.
To bring Alex’s vision to life, Jessica began with creating the brand identity and logo. They partnered with CB Studio to design a brand inspired by D&D adventures and named it “Gameplay Candles” with the tagline “Ignite the Adventure.” We designed a logo that reflects their business and appeals to their target audience. We also produced YouTube videos to help promote Gameplay Candles to a wider market.
GPC was born from Alex’s desire to make game nights more immersive. After running weekly D&D sessions for over two years, he realized the power of scents to enhance the gaming experience and bring the story to life.

Jan Hermie Blanca collaborates closely with the GPC Logo Identity to ensure that the design not only makes the brand stand out but also accurately interprets its desired representation. Through asking pivotal questions to shape the logo’s messaging and presentation, we acquire a precise comprehension of the client’s preferences and the intended outcome. We curate elements, ideas, and references to formulate the essence of the D&D logo’s tone.

Identity System
The primary visual mark that embodies the brand’s essence. It can be a wordmark, a symbol, or a combination of both It encapsulates the brand’s core attributes and establishes a visual anchor for all brand-related communication.
We design a range of logo variations suitable for diverse media applications, including social media, print media, and electronic platforms. Our approach also involves creating easily printable materials such as labels and stickers, optimizing production costs without compromising quality.

The GPC is a D&D and Fantasy-inspired candlemaker. They are a purveyor of seductive scents, fascinating fragrances, and enticing aromas.
At CB Studio, we assist them in bringing their vision to life, from creating intense gaming adventures to designing logos and identity systems, and promoting their products on their YouTube channel and website.

Character Design
Character design is a creative process that involves crafting the visual and conceptual aspects of a fictional character within a narrative, whether it is for literature, animation, video games, comics, or other forms of storytelling. From rough drawing, shading, to colorizing, guided by the color palette, we create the exact character that represents the Rogue’s Retreat product of GPC. This intricate process combines elements of artistic expression, psychology, and storytelling to bring a character to life and make them relatable and compelling to the audience.
Composition
This is how we transform our animation from composition to photo manipulation, incorporating various effects to enhance its epic quality. Through the utilization of Photoshop in conjunction with After Effects, we elevate our work to create captivating frames.
