Key Strategies Implemented

Defining the brand creates an objective roadmap; a decisional filter for all the company’s future decisions.

To bring this legal brand story to life, the creative direction followed a clear structure: a 5–10 second introduction set the tone, followed by the core interview content. As the interviewee spoke, B-roll visuals were layered in to enhance the storytelling, with a concise closing segment rounding out the narrative.

“Every second had to be intentional—from the first frame to the closing shot. The structure wasn’t just about flow; it was about guiding the viewer through a legal narrative with clarity and purpose.”

Brand Personality

We crafted a strategy rooted in the firm’s core traits—authoritative, strategic, professional, protective, sophisticated, and driven. These attributes guided the creative direction, messaging, and visual tone to ensure every element reflected their identity.

The Old Version They Want To Change

The previous video lacked the depth and clarity needed to reflect the firm’s strategic edge. It felt too static, overly formal, and disconnected from the brand’s personality. To address this, we developed a refreshed approach using on-brand motion, dynamic transitions, strategic b-rolls, and polished color grading. We added creative lower thirds, a clear and confident narrative, and a modern soundtrack to strike the right balance between corporate professionalism and authentic energy.

“We wanted to create a piece that reflects the firm’s ability to simplify complexity—showing that behind every case is a strategy, and behind every strategy is a client whose business or future is on the line.”

Storyboard & Scriptwriting

In the pre-production stage, we begin by planning the script and content direction, focusing on how the final video should look and feel. We also create a detailed storyboard to visualize each scene before the shoot. This helps align the team, clarify the flow of the message, and ensure every shot supports the overall goal of the video.

Shooting the Interview Session

We begin the production by filming the main interview. This ensures that we capture the core content and key messages first. It also helps us determine what B-roll footage is needed to support the interview visually.

Capturing the B-Roll

After the interview, we proceed to shoot the B-roll based on the topics discussed. This helps create engaging visuals that complement and reinforce the key points from the interview, making the final video more dynamic and visually appealing.

The Post-Production

After we finish the production, we move on to post-production. This includes video editing, color grading, adding motion graphics and transitions, incorporating lower thirds and outros, syncing background music, and ensuring the final video delivers a clear and engaging message aligned with the brand identity.

Removing Errors & Dead Spaces

In post-production, we start by reviewing the raw footage and removing any unnecessary clips, mistakes, or off-topic segments. This step ensures that only the best and most relevant content remains, creating a clean and concise storyline for the final video.

Color Grading

The challenge here was that the brightness constantly changed due to outdoor lighting conditions. When we tried adjusting the exposure, highlights, and whites in Premiere Pro, the subject’s color shifted as well.

To solve this, we used After Effects and created three separate adjustment layers to manually color grade different areas of the footage. This allowed us to achieve a balanced color tone and maintain a vibrant, professional look.

Color Correction Setup

To color correct the background and the subject separately, we used the Roto Brush tool in After Effects. First, we created three layers—one for the subject, one for the window behind the subject, and one for the background. This allowed us to adjust the colors of the subject and background individually to better match the desired tone.

Equipment Used for Color Grading

To achieve the vibrant look, we use the ASUS ProArt 4K monitor for its color accuracy, wide color gamut coverage, and reliable consistency, ensuring that every visual detail is precisely represented from editing to final output.

The Specs

With a 27-inch IPS panel and 3840 x 2160 (4K UHD) resolution, this monitor supports 100% sRGB and 100% Rec. 709 color spaces, and comes factory-calibrated with a Delta E < 2 accuracy, verified by Calman. Its HDR-10 support and ProArt Preset & ProArt Palette allow us to fine-tune colors for precise creative control. Connectivity options include USB-C with 65W power delivery, DisplayPort, and HDMI 2.0, making it versatile for any professional workflow.

“Different monitors display colors differently because of variations in panel quality, calibration, and color profiles. To solve this, we chose a monitor with high color accuracy that’s compatible with both Mac and other devices.

Finding the Right Background Music

For choosing the right background music, we use Envato because it offers a vast library of professionally produced tracks that are licensed for commercial use. This ensures we have access to high-quality audio that perfectly matches the mood and tone of our projects, while also avoiding copyright issues.

The Logo Animation

This is my favorite part of the project because I enjoy creating logo animations. For this, I used After Effects to design a fresh and dynamic animation. The main challenge was that the client wanted something completely different from their old logo animation—more modern, energetic, and visually engaging.

Motion Graphics

In this stage, we focused on enhancing the video’s visual appeal by adding professional motion graphics, smooth transitions, and creative lower thirds. Using After Effects, we designed custom graphics that aligned with the brand identity and maintained a dynamic yet corporate look. These elements helped highlight key messages, introduce speakers clearly, and ensure smooth scene transitions, resulting in a more polished and engaging final video.

Published on their Website

Once the client approved the final video, it was published on their website and shared to reach their target audience.

The Goal

Hendershot Cowart P.C. aims to deliver specialized legal services with a strong focus on business law, healthcare law, probate litigation, and OSHA defense. Their goal is to help clients solve complex legal challenges while ensuring full compliance with regulations and protecting their best interests. By combining the resources of a large firm with the personalized attention of a boutique practice, they offer strategic and effective legal solutions tailored to each client’s unique needs.

Conclusion

While every business has its own identity, values, and audience, we’ve learned that success comes not just from having a message—but from expressing it clearly and consistently. Strong visuals and storytelling help bring that identity to life. A well-defined brand doesn’t just speak—it connects with people and leaves a lasting impression.
