MOTION GRAPHICS SEQUENCE
This video is inspired by the opening sequence of the movie series The Walking Dead, created by Paul MacDonnell. We aimed to create a title sequence with a similar vibe to TWD‘s opening.
This video is composed of various images and compositions created using Photoshop, from sketching to storyboarding, scene-by-scene transitions, and photo manipulation to animation.

The Sketching
Sketching is essential for art direction. We need to sketch the scenes first before creating the composition.
Sketching is where ideas take shape. Before we dive into the complexities of the opening sequence, sketching allows us to explore, refine, and visualize the story’s essence. It’s the foundation that ensures every frame has purpose and direction.

Sequence Flow
The motion design flow aims to connect every design element in the image and create seamless transitions using shapes and angles.
The opening sequence isn’t just the beginning—it’s the first impression. It must capture the soul of the story in a single breath, drawing the audience into the world we’ve created.

Storyboard Application
The seamless connectivity of every scene in the opening sequence is what keeps the audience engaged. It’s like a thread that weaves the story together, guiding viewers smoothly into the narrative and setting the rhythm for everything that follows.
The Composition
Looking at the moodboard, one of the most crucial aspects of creating this motion graphics style video is finding the right images. Photo manipulation plays a significant role in animating the scenes, as each image contains relevant photographic elements for smooth transitions.

The Logo
The logo style is inspired by The Walking Dead series, including the tone, texture, and overall concept.
The opening title and logo are the heartbeat of the opening sequence—they define the identity of the film and set the tone for the journey ahead. They’re not just visuals; they encapsulate the essence of the story in a single moment.
